Today’s Specials are a guerilla pop up brand who run temporary events and market stalls. Founded by product designers Richard Brendon and Julia Georgallis, they sell the work of upcoming British designers.
Richard Brendon:Richard studied Product and Furniture design at Kingston University. In his design practice Richard is particularly interested in objects and styles from the past that are no longer cherished. He looks to make intelligent observations and interventions, which add longevity to these objects and styles from yesteryear. Based just off Portobello Road, he is passionate about his local area; the antiques markets of Portobello and Golborne Road provide great inspiration for his work.
Julia Georgallis: Julia is currently a Design Products student at the Royal College of Art. She is interested in community and entrepreneurship in design and has previous experience working for design shops and studios as an administrator and designer.
